Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026 (Version 2)
This document is available in several languages for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Fraiven ("Fraiven", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. Fraiven is available as a web application and as a Progressive Web App (PWA), and integrates with Telegram.
1. Data Controller
Urban Mobility DOO
Republic of Serbia
Registration number (MB): 22075098
Tax ID (PIB): 114819018
Email: [email protected]
2. The Service
Fraiven is a platform that helps people discover places, events and activities, create and join meetups, communicate with other users, and — where offered — request an online booking or table reservation at a third-party venue. Fraiven is a technical platform only; it does not organize or host the offline activities themselves.
3. Personal Data We Collect
3.1 Account and Authentication Data
You can sign in using one of several methods; we collect only what the chosen method provides:
- Telegram login: your Telegram user ID, first and last name, Telegram username and profile photo, as provided by Telegram. Your Telegram ID is stored so we can send you notifications via our bot.
- Google sign-in: your email address, display name and locale, as provided by Google.
- Email and password: your email address, username, display name and a securely hashed password. We send a verification email to confirm your address.
3.2 Profile Data
Information you choose to add to your profile, some of which is optional and visibility-controlled by you:
- Display name and username
- Profile photo
- Bio, occupation, interests and preferences
- Gender and date of birth (you control whether your birth year and gender are shown)
- Home city, time zone and preferred/accepted languages
- Social links (Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn)
- General availability (e.g. weekday/weekend, morning/afternoon/evening)
3.3 Content You Create
- Meetups and events you create or join, and their content
- Photos you upload (profile and meetup photos)
- Chat messages — direct messages, group chats and meetup chats
- Reactions, votes, RSVPs and the preference signals described in section 5
- Reports you submit about other users' messages, and users you choose to block
3.4 Sign-up and Booking Data
When you use the sign-up/booking feature (a service, an appointment, or a table), we collect the data needed to make the request, including:
- Your name
- Your contact phone number
- The selected venue, date and time
- Party size and any note you add
3.5 Push Notification Data
If you enable push notifications, we store the push subscription provided by your browser, along with basic information about your browser or device, so we can deliver notifications. You can disable this at any time.
3.6 Automatically Collected Data
- IP address and connection data (from server and security logs)
- Device and browser data
- Usage and interaction data
- Cookies and similar technologies (see section 12)
We do not collect precise GPS location or track your real-time location. Location is derived from the city you select and the venues/events you interact with.
4. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data to:
- Operate the platform and your account (performance of our contract with you)
- Manage meetups, events, chats and notifications (performance of contract)
- Facilitate booking/reservation requests with venues (performance of contract / your request)
- Provide personalized recommendations and improve the service (legitimate interest)
- Keep the platform safe, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms (legitimate interest)
- Run analytics where you have consented (consent)
- Comply with legal obligations (legal obligation)
5. Recommendations and Automated Processing
To recommend relevant places, events and people, we record preference signals (e.g. likes, dislikes, things you hide or save, and meetup engagement) and build a preference profile used to suggest relevant content. These recommendations are informational and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
When you submit certain content — such as a place suggestion or a new public meetup — that content may be processed by an AI service (OpenAI) for safety moderation and to help structure the submission. This happens only at the moment of submission.
We use your profile attributes (such as interests and, where provided, gender) and your activity to personalize recommendations and to develop and improve our own recommendation and matching technology. We do not use the private content of your chats and direct messages to train AI models, and we do not share your personal data with third parties so they can train their own models.
6. Data Sharing and Subprocessors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to run the service:
- Venues and service providers: when you make a sign-up or booking request, we share the contact details you provide — including your name and phone number — with the relevant venue or business so it can contact you and confirm the booking. That venue or business then handles your data as an independent controller and is responsible for its own use of it.
- Telegram (Telegram Bot API): for login and to deliver notifications and interactive messages via our bots.
- Google: Google Sign-In (authentication), Google Analytics (analytics, subject to your consent), and Google Places (venue information).
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: for geocoding and place lookup.
- OpenAI: for moderation and enrichment of user-submitted suggestions.
- Email provider (Zeptomail): to send verification, password-reset and service emails.
- Cloud storage (Amazon S3) and hosting providers: to store uploaded media and run the platform.
- Other users: profile information you choose to make visible, and content you post, is visible to other users according to the visibility settings of your profile, meetup or group.
- Authorities: where required by law.
7. Sign-ups, Bookings and Reservations
The sign-up/booking feature lets you request an online sign-up for a service or an appointment, or a table reservation, with a third-party venue or business. It is offered free of charge. When you submit a request, we pass the contact phone number and details you provide to that provider so it can reach you to confirm or adjust the booking. Fraiven helps facilitate the request but acts only as an intermediary; the final confirmation and conditions depend on the provider. Fraiven does not process payments or handle money for these bookings — any payment is made on site to the provider. See the Terms of Use for more.
8. International Processing
Data may be processed on servers located in Serbia, the European Economic Area, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or providers certified under a recognized data-transfer framework.
9. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here and to meet legal obligations. Account and profile data are kept while your account is active. Content such as chat messages and meetup data is retained while relevant to the service. Booking data is retained as needed to process and document the request. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
10. Your Rights and Account Deletion
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing or withdraw consent. You can contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights or to raise any complaint about how we handle your data, and we will address it.
You can delete your account at any time. Deletion is irreversible and works by anonymization: we remove your contact details and profile data and close the account so sign-in is no longer possible. A non-identifying, anonymized record of the account is kept so that shared content — such as group and meetup chat history — stays intact for the other participants and their rights are preserved.
11. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Cookies and Consent
We use strictly necessary cookies (for example, your session and language preference) that are required for the platform to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only after you consent via our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
13. Children
Fraiven is intended for adults. The service is not directed to children, and you must meet the minimum age set out in our Terms of Use to use it.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
